Sofia Bost was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1986. Studied Communication in Lisbon and earned a Filmmaking master’s degree from The London Film School. Her debut short film “Party Day” (2019) premiered at Cannes Critics’ Week before embarking on an international round of more than 30 festivals, such as New York Film Festival, Leeds, Odense, among others. It was commercially released in Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, Iceland, Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina, with national DVD and VOD distribution.
Her new short film, “Stone Beach”, a Portuguese-French co-production shot in France, is in production. Her debut feature project “I Don’t Know Where I’m Going” is currently being developed at Torino Script Lab. Currently lives and works in Lisbon.
